The coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has kept the studio closed for several months and classes either postponed or cancelled. As the situation has improved in New Jersey, I am happy to be spending time back at the studio. Visitors are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing while at the studio. Also, if you are not feeling well, plan to visit the studio another day.
Home Coming Art Studio is hosting the second annual Home Coming Day! At the turn of the 20th century, towns in the county held Home Coming Days in the summer. Family and friends would come back to town to enjoy time together. On August 15, I would like to honor that tradition with a virtual gathering. On the studio Facebook page, I plan to have videos of students' work and of things I have been doing including how I make the hand dyed scarves and time-lapse videos of recently completed paintings. Also, look for an update on what is happening with the fall schedule of classes.
I am also offering special, small boxes of Home Coming Day Cookies to 20 people who live in Salem County. To be eligible for the cookies, send me a message or an email (email@example.com) with your name, address, and email address by 5:00 pm on August 12. The winners will be randomly selected on August 13 and the box of cookies delivered to your house on August 14 or 15.
More details on classes will be coming in the near future. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through this unprecedented situation.
