Classes - Spring 2019

There are two ways to register for a class.
Method 1: Click on the "Buy Now" button beside each class.
 
Method 2: Contact Home Coming Art Studio at 609-579-4412 or homecomingartstudio@comcast.net. After contacting the studio, an invoice will be emailed to you for the entire cost of the class or a deposit, depending on the cost of the class. Payment can be made check, credit card or cash. Payment must be received within 2 weeks to hold the registration for the class. 
 
Upon registering, students will receive a welcome email with further details about the class. Cancellations made prior to 30 days before the class will receive a full refund.

 

Felted Creature

Instructor: Betty Peterson

Date: Saturday, April 6

Time: 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Cost: $80

All supplies included.

Students will use a wet felting technique to create a creature. Adults and teens.

We made some fun little bunnies.

Kumihimo Braids
Instructor: Annette Devitt

Time: 1:00-4:00 pm

All supplies included.
Learn the basics for creating one of a kind braids. They are great for bracelets or necklaces paired with glass or polymer clay pendants. 
 
We discovered the great potential of this technique.

Design Your Own Woven Item

Instructor: Annette Devitt

Date: Saturday, May 11 

Time: 9:00 am-noon

Cost: $25

Participants will bring their own yarns and Annette will help them design a weaving project using that yarn. Previous weaving experience necessary. (This is not a beginning weaving class.) There will be an option to rent time on a studio loom to complete the project.

Buttons & Beads

Use polymer clay to create buttons or beads using a variety of techniques.

Beginning Crochet

Date: Wednesday, May 15 & 22

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

All supplies included.

In this two part class, you will learn the basic crochet stitches including single crochet and double crochet. Understand how to read a pattern to put it all together.

Hula Hoop Rug

Fun for the whole family. The rugs are made using old t-shirts. You provide the t-shirts & we'll provide the hula hoop.

Beginning Knitting

Date: Wednesday, June 5 & 12

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

In this two part class, you will learn how to cast on and do basic knit and purl stitches. Find out how these two stitches are the basis for all projects as you learn to read a pattern to put it all together.

Skies - Scrumptious to Moody

Tired of seeing the same old blues in every sky painting? This workshop will show you how to use colors in your skies to add drama and excitement to your landscapes and seascapes. We will do several different types of skies in this workshop and learn how to depict a variety of clouds and atmospheric conditions, including sunset scenes. Adults and teens.
